Transport

Data transport offerings are designed to solve 4 problems:

  • High-volume bandwidth,
  • Totally passive security,
  • Total or partial independence from operator equipment,
  • Cost optimization and rationalization.

Wavelength

Wavelength is an intermediary solution between dark fiber and Ethernet VPN.

Wavelength can be used to split a dark fiber into several wavelengths using C-WDM or D-WDM optical equipment that is entirely passive (i.e. devoid of a power supply).

BSO Communication customers can in this way benefit from data flow rates of 1 to 160 Gbps.

In addition to these rapid flow rates, equipment independence from any source of power maximizes uptime which tends to approach that of dark fiber while sharing costs and therefore rationalizing product investment.

  • Data flows are regulated at 1 Gbps and/or 10 Gbps / Ethernet.
  • Progressive expansion through the addition of new fiber-optic links.
  • Independence from any given operator.
  • Substantial savings compared to dark fiber costs.

Dark Fiber

The offering is based on French dark fiber networks owned by BSO Communication and/or its partners. Constructed as a so-called "loop" architecture, path redundancy provides maximum security for access to different delivery points.

The physical properties of fiber optic cables mean that BSO Communication can meet its clients' strictest requirements in terms of lag time, data flow rates and service guarantees.

This offering is therefore more particularly intended for customers with very substantial data flow and/or comprehensive physical security needs.

  • Capacity is virtually unlimited.
  • Flexibility and cost control.
  • Supports all technologies and applications.
  • Available at many points of presence in France.
